Maderia, Ohio
|
Madeira, Ohio, was settled in the early 19th century and developed as a farming community before the arrival of the railroad in the mid-1800s transformed it into a thriving suburb. Named after the nearby Madeira station on the Cincinnati, Hamilton & Dayton Railroad, the area grew as Cincinnati residents sought homes outside the city. Incorporated as a village in 1910 and later as a city in 1959, Madeira became known for its excellent schools, strong community spirit, and family-friendly atmosphere. Today, it remains one of Cincinnati’s most desirable suburbs, blending small-town charm with modern suburban convenience.
