Finneytown
Finneytown, Ohio, is one of the oldest continuously settled areas in Hamilton County, dating back to 1795. It was named after Ebenezer Ward Finney, who received land grants for his Revolutionary War service. Originally a rural farming community, Finneytown remained quiet and agricultural through the 19th century. Suburban development began after World War II, as Cincinnati expanded outward. The community grew rapidly, attracting families drawn to its convenient location and strong schools. Today, Finneytown retains its small-town feel while serving as a diverse, close-knit suburb known for its community pride, educational tradition, and accessibility to Greater Cincinnati.
